Use of Fitness Equipment and Rooms

Fitness Facility Rules

  • Lockers are for day-use only.  Exchange your membership card in for a locker key.  After use, return key and receive your membership card in exchange.  Any personal items left in lockers unattended are at your own risk.
  • Alcohol, non-prescription drugs and tobacco products are not permitted. 
  • Food and drinks are not allowed in the Fitness rooms.  The only exception being acceptable athletic drinks and those obtained on the premises (water/protein shakes).
  • After use of any and all equipment it is mandatory that it be wiped down with the supplied spray bottles and towels.  No exceptions.
  • All free weights must be returned to original position after completion of workout.
  • Picture taking and/or videotaping is only permissible after obtaining written permission from the Fitness Director.
  • Facility staff only may conduct movement of any equipment.
  • Modifications of equipment beyond its designed purposes are prohibited.
  • Injuries, accidents or equipment failures must be reported immediately to the fitness director.
  • Colonial Country Club Fitness Department is not responsible for lost or stolen items.  Personal belongings are not permitted in the activity areas.  They must be kept in a locker.
  • Please consult a physician prior to physical activity.  Colonial Country Club Fitness staff is not responsible for accidents or injuries which occur due to the nature of the activity. 
  • Proper non-marking athletic shoes and attire are required in all activity areas. 
  • Proper athletic clothing is required at all times (NO JEANS).
  • Participants must be 16 years of age or older to utilize Fitness area. 
  • A parent or legal guardian must directly supervise children under the age of 16 years of age at all times.
  • Regardless of supervision, anyone under the age of 13 may not use any cardiovascular equipment.
  • Misconduct will not be tolerated under any circumstances.
  • No pets allowed in the Community Center (except those for personal access).
  • No weapons allowed in the Community Center.
  • No cell phone use is allowed in either of the fitness rooms.
